Job Description:

Position Objectives

The Pharmacist-in-Charge/Professional Services Manager is responsible for the day to day supervision and operation of the Pharmacy.

The key objectives of this position are to ensure that:

The Pharmacy is promoted as a professional centre for customers to obtain advice, assistance, product &
information relating to health and well-being.
Customers’ health outcomes are promoted
Sales and gross profit are maximised while expenses minimised
All prescriptions are dispensed and services provided in accordance with all Legal requirements

The manager’s role in general is to liaise with Group Head Office on procedures/systems including the following:

Achieving Targets: growth in Sales, GP %, Staff Salary % of Total Sales, Generics Conversion %
Staff Training
Local Advertising and Marketing, Store promotion
Stock Pricing
HR Issues, including employment/termination procedures
Account Payments
Monthly Reporting

The Manager’s role on a daily basis is:

Counselling and advising customers on Health issues (this is the major role)
Dispensing & checking as necessary
Supervising staff - ensuring they provide excellent Customer Service
Dispensary Stock Control
Providing staff Leadership
Liaising with local health professionals to build Goodwill

Special Conditions:

Minimum 4 years post registration experience including at least 2 years full responsibility for Managing all aspects of a Retail Pharmacy.Willing to relocate to a Victorian Country Coastal town for a minimum of 1 year.Excellent verbal communication skills and an enthusiastic, outgoing personality.Available to commence the position within 4 weeks.
